Giant Sequoias

The day after our marathon hike we decided to take it easy by strolling through Mariposa Grove and enjoying a picnic lunch. Again, these pictures totally don't do justice to how absolutely gigantic these trees are. In fact, I didn't even post pictures of some of the biggest ones because they just simply wouldn't fit in the frame of the camera. Anyway, it was really a neat experience to see these trees, some of which are over 2,000 years old. It makes me want to visit Sequoia National Park to see even more!
