France!!!

Daniel and I and our dear friends, Monte and Cherie were able to travel to France for 2 weeks in June.  I have a million pictures, stories, and memories I'll always cherish, but here are some highlights:

A bridge overlooking Marseille.  We didn't originally plan to visit Marseille, but train strikes forced us to rearrange our plans, so we made the best of it :)

A centuries-old olive tree on Les Collettes, the farm (and the subject of dozens of paintings) in Cagnes Sur Mer where Pierre Auguste Renoir moved before his death. 

Enjoying Cagnes Sur Mer.  This was also the first day we had luggage, after the airline lost our one and only bag for a week! Can you tell I'm really, really glad to not be wearing the same clothes I had traveled in and worn for a week!?

"Europe's Cleanest Lake", Annecy.  It was truly the most stunning place I think I've ever visited... The green, granite Alps in the back ground, lush green grass surrounding it, crystal blue water, and dotted with old Swiss-style chapels and homes.  Just truly beautiful.

We took a bike ride around the perimeter of the lake.. about 21k or so.  It was just a perfect day all around!

Then stopped for a picnic of local cheese, bread, and charcuterie!  I dare say there isn't much better!!

Welcome Baby Luke

I'm a little embarrassed that Luke is 6 weeks old and I'm just now posting about his birth!  I guess it's true what they say about subsequent children:  They never get as much photographic attention as the first :(

Anyway, after 41 weeks and 1 day, he finally made his arrival on September 12, 2012.  Labor was pretty easy (as far as labors go) and only about an hour long, and he was a healthy boy at 8 pounds, 6 ounces and 20" long.  

He's such a sweet baby!  We just love him to pieces!  He celebrated his six week birthday by sleeping for 8 hours last night... woo hoo!  Big sisters Ellie and Campbell are big helpers and very enamored with their baby brother... so far the newness hasn't worn off :)

Welcome home, Luke!

Ellie is a great big sister and always right on my heels, ready to help out with baby (unless it's one of the unpleasant tasks!)

Baby Bump

I really haven't done much to document this pregnancy on the blog (sorry, Baby #3 :-/ ), but I did get brave enough tonight to have Daniel take a bump picture.  That inspired me to see if there were any others from along the way that I could go ahead and document, but alas, I only found two others!

It's A....

BOY!!

Had an ultrasound a couple weeks ago and they took a look and told us we're having a BOY in September.  Not quite sure what to expect, but I guess we'll figure out how to transition from dress-up and baby dolls to Legos and trucks :)

One thing is for sure:  This little guy is going to have 3 mommies... the girls are super-excited and can't wait to get their hands on him!

Baby Number Three is On the Way!

We are thrilled to announce that Fox Baby Number 3 will be making his or her arrival in early September!

The girls are both super excited with Ellie wanting a "Brother Baby" and Campbell requesting a "Girl Baby". I guess one of them will get her wish :)

I'm feeling good so far and of all the events that will be going on in our family over the next 9 months, I can easily say this is the one we're most looking forward to!

So Sweet!

Our wonderful friends Matt and Jennifer were so kind to watch Ellie for us last month while I was in the hospital having Campbell. Not only did they take her in the middle of the night, but Matt also jumped in his car and met us at a Chick-Fil-A parking lot for the exchange... and it's a good thing, because if we would have driven the extra 10 minutes to their house, Campbell would have been born in the car!
Anyway, even though she has two kids of her own, and had out-of-town company that weekend, somehow Jennifer found time to make this video for me of Ellie's first day as a big sister. She sent it to me last week and I have watched it over and over and cried every time!

Newest Little Fox

Early today the newest addition to the Fox Family made her grand entrance onto life's stage! Campbell Noel Fox was born at 4:59am and weighed 7 lbs 1 oz. Both she and Randi are doing great... sleeping and feeding without much trouble. We'll post some more pictures as soon as I get my computer cord!
