The last week in May we flew out to California where we met my parents, my brother, Derek, and his girlfriend, Megan and all drove up to Yosemite for the week. We borrowed Mom-mom's motorhome, which made the drive nice, and then rented a van once we got there for getting around. The weather was unseasonably warm, but that was OK, because most days in the Park it only got up to the mid-80s-- I think 60s would have been normal for that time of year. Anyway, we picked the perfect week to go because not only did we have warm weather, but all the waterfalls were flowing strong. Even now, less than a month later, some of them are already dried up for the season. Anyway, here are some pics (warning: these do NOT do justice to how beautiful it was, plus I was unable to download the pics from my brother's camera, which were much better (both due to equipment and operator:))
Bridalveil Falls- It's named that because it's the only one of the falls that falls straight from top to bottom (like a veil) without being diverted by rocks or landings.

El Capitan: The largest monolith on earth

This was Derek's usual pose-- he was the official photographer for the trip!
