After breakfast, we meandered around for a bit and checked out the Curious George store. Ellie had fun looking at books, playing with toys, and rolling a ball around. She used to be content playing with some things in a store and then leaving without them, but lately she seems to be at the age where she's not satisfied to leave it in the store... somehow she's figured out that items can be purchased and taken home!
After breakfast and the stroll home, we picked up Rosie and headed back out to Fresh Pond for some playtime. Since we had been last week, she knew where we were going and was totally hyped-out they whole way there! She had a blast and is currently passed out on the floor, where she's been since we got home this afternoon, and where she'll be until sometime on Monday!
Ellie was on water-duty!
Tonight Daniel's Attending invited us to go to dinner. The place we went was super-nice and the food was absolutely fantastic. However, since we don't exactly have any babysitters on standby up here, we had to bring Ellie =(. She was pretty good... but let's just say that this was the first time she's been to a restaurant with full place settings, white table cloths, low lighting, coat check, etc! Thankfully one of the Fellows on the team was there too and brought his kids (1 and 3), so at least Ellie wasn't the only kid at the table... still, while I enjoyed dinner, it wasn't exactly "relaxing" since I felt like I was managing a three-ring circus quietly beside me! She did discover that she likes calamari, so yay for trying new foods, I guess!
We took the "zoom" to get to downtown, and allowed extra time since there was a Red Sox home game tonight (the only other time we got caught on the subway on game night, it was pretty insanely crowded). However, we missed most of the game traffic and got to our stop about 15 minutes early. So we walked around the government center for a while while Ellie enjoyed looking at flowers and chasing ultra-tame pigeons!
