Holiday Happenings

Well folks, I have a lot to catch up on... it seems like there are very few moments to snap pictures around here, and even fewer to blog about it! Campbell is sleeping more and more at night and has settled into a pretty good napping routine that, right now anyway, happens to overlap with Ellie's afternoon nap- so that is great! We've finished our holiday traveling and all of our family have returned home, and so we're starting to get a routine going around here. So far so good, and it gives me hope that soon blogging will again be something I can fit into the schedule =)
Here are some pics of what we've been up to since that last time we had an update post (which I believe were the unfortunate Bovine pics of my husband!)

First up, our town's annual "Tree Lighting and Santa Claus Parade". Ellie had a good time even though it was about 30 degrees out that night!

My camera battery died literally 1 second before they lit the tree! After the tree was lit, Santa and Mrs. Claus came down the street in a carriage pulled by Clydesdales. Ellie was in total awe and this experience created much confusion in the ensuing days over whether Santa's sleigh was pulled by reindeer or horses... she was insistent that she saw Santa with horses and refused to believe the reindeer bit for several days!

Sisters!

Here's Campbell in the cute little sweater dress that my sister-in-law gave me the night before Campbell was born (yes, it was her wedding day, and she was giving us a gift! And, yes, she didn't know Campbell was going to be a girl, just saw a cute outfit and took a chance!)

Campbell comes to visit me through the kitchen window periodically while I'm cooking dinner. Here she is checking in on the progress:
"Hi Mom, what's for dinner tonight...?"
"Milk? Mmm. Sounds good to me!"

My mom had to leave to get back to her life and Cambpell decided to start her social smiles the night before my mom left. This was my attempt at trying to catch one..
