Tonight after Daniel got home from work we hopped on the T (or the "Zoom" as Ellie calls it) and headed downtown to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall.
Waiting for the Zoom:
Even though the area is pretty touristy (of course we are tourists too, so I guess it shouldn't matter!), there was lots of good food to choose from. After walking back and forth a few times, we finally decided on clam chowder in a bread bowl. It turned out to be a great choice for a cold drizzly evening.
Ellie enjoyed the "lid" of my bread bowl:
After dinner we walked around the area a bit... we plan to do the whole Freedom Trail, but that will have to wait for a day when the weather is nicer... maybe this weekend.
By dark we were back on the Zoom and headed home. Ellie's really good at holding onto the pole all by herself!
After we got home we went up to the roof of the apartment building (which has great views of both Cambridge and Downtown Boston) to hang out for a while.
Since Ellie was all ready for bed, she had her story, song and prayers al fresco tonight!
